"Guilty as Sin?" is the ninth track from Taylor Swift's eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, released on April 19, 2024. The song opens with a reference to The Blue Nile and their song "The Downtown Lights," as Swift goes on to contemplate whether or not she should feel guilty for fantasising about an encounter that has not happened, hence the question mark in the title.

While Swift has not confirmed who inspired the song, it is widely believed to be about The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, with whom Swift had a brief fling during the summer of 2023. In a 2016 interview with Vulture, Healy named The Blue Nile as his "favourite band of all time." Fans have also theorised that the song's title is a direct connection to Swift's song "Carolina," which she wrote for the 2022 film Where the Crawdads Sing, as it includes “guilty as sin” as a lyric in the outro:
“Oh Carolina knows why for years they’ve said that I was guilty as sin and sleep in a liar’s bed.“
