Japanese pop artist Aimer sang and Yuki Kajiura composed the music and lyrics, as well as arranged and produced “I beg you.” Kajiura’s FBM band played the instruments. The song serves as the end credits theme song for the 2019 anime film Fate Stay/Night Heaven’s Feel II: Lost Butterfly. It was released in January 2019 as part of an Aimer single that also includes the songs Hanabiratachi no March and Sailing. “I beg you” is the second collaboration between and Aimer and Kajiura, the follow-up to the 2017 “Hana no Uta,” which was the ending theme song to the first anime film in the Heaven’s Feel trilogy.
