アナーキー (Anarchy) is Japanese well known punk-rock band. On alphabet it's -ANARCHY- and on kanji -亜無亜危異-（or 亞無亞危異）. The origin of the band name was name of the song from Sex Pistols from "Anarchy In The · UK".
The group was formed in 1978, in Wako, Saitama, Japan, birthplace of band members. First members were: Vocal - 仲野茂 (Nakano Shigeru), Guitar - 藤沼伸一 (Fujinuma Shinichi), Guitar - 逸見泰成 (Itsumi Yasunari), Bass - 寺岡信芳 (Teraoka Nobuyoshi), Drums - 小林高夫 (Kobayashi Takao).
Band got recognition after winning prize for amateur music competition sponsored by Yamaha on 1979. At the start they didn't have a very punk rock beginning. They officially made Debut with releasing debut single 「ノット・サティスファイド」(Not-Satisfied), and debut Album 『アナーキー』(Anarchy), in March 1980, under INVITATION label of VICTOR ENTERTAINMENT.
Same year, the band released single 「シティーサーファー」 (City Surfer) in August, and in November 2nd Album 「’80維新」 (Restoration 80).
Bend went onto huge success, selling 13 million copies of their debut album "アナーキー".
In May 1981, came out 3rd album 「亜無亜危異都市」, and they did their first one-man concert in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. Soon in December followed release of 4th album 「READY STEADY GO」.
The band went through 1982. year with two full Albums, 5th album 「LIVE」 in March, and 6th album 「ANARCHISM」in September.
On May 1983, they released 7th album 「REBEL YELL」, and next 1984. year on March, 8th album 「デラシネ」(Derashine).
Year 1985, on March went out 9th album 「BEAT UP GENERATION」,and Nakano Shigeru started working as an actor and debuted in the movie ''十階のモスキート'' (Mosquito ten floor), directed by Yoichi Sai.
Because of various issues band had problems with and after Itsumi Yasunari leaving band, they renamed in 1986, from アナーキー to THE ROCK BAND, and started releasing new stuff.
While the band was inactive, 1989. is released compilation album 「アナーキー Vol.1」 & 「アナーキー Vol.1」. Also one LIVE album in 1994, 「ANARCHY LIVE 1994」.
After Shinjuku Liquid Room LIVE, in September 1996, Anarchy decided comeback. In 1997. the band returned as アナーキー again with new members line-up (Vo: 仲野茂 (Shigeru Nakano), Gu: 藤沼伸一 (Fujinuma Shinichi), B: 寺岡信芳 (Teraoka Nobuyoshi), D: 名越藤丸 (Nagoya Fujimaru)).
They started doing LIVEs, and appeared at the concert ''LOFT 20TH ROCK OF AGES''. In October 1997, band released original Best compilation album for the first time in 12 years - 「THE BLAST OF 亜無亜危異」 & 「ディンゴ」- simultaneous release.
In November-December band did LIVE tour "ANARCHY SYNDROME '97", touring 9 nationwide locations: Kumagai / Niigata / Sendai / Nagoya / Hiroshima / Oita / Fukuoka / Osaka / Tokyo.
Band participated on ARB cover album making in February, 1998. Vocalist, Shigeru Nakano, received serious injury in August for which he rested 6 months. In October, Live album 「ANARCHY SYNDROME’97～LIVE～」 release.
In 1999, the band did "ANARCHY SYNDROME '99" 2 -bullet tours-, in May and August-September, touring 15 locations nationwide: Nagano / Kobe / Okayama / Kochi / Matsuyama / Kumamoto / Fukuoka / Nagasaki / Hiroshima / Kyoto / Osaka / Nagoya / Sendai / Niigata / Tokyo.
In June was released Anarchy tribute album 「Q:Are we ANARCHIST?」, and next month, in July new Album「PARADOX」.
On December 2000, band released new Album 「FREAKSNEGOTI」.
Next year, 2001. in January, they performed live tour following-up album "FREAKS TOUR" doing concerts in Nagoya / Osaka / Tokyo. From 2002, they participated in various Events, doing concerts and beeing active on solo activities.
Band went active again in October 2005, for the new song recording, first time after 21 years by the original members. (V: 仲野茂, G: 藤沼伸一, G: 逸見泰成, B: 寺岡信芳, D: 小林高夫 )
They released アナーキーBOX『内祝』DVD (Anarachy BOX ''family celebration'') in February 2006.
In December 2008, VICTOR Entertainment released 11 title Paper Jacket collection - 『アナーキー』,『THE ROCK BAND』. And on the same year, Documentary film "アナーキーy" appeared in theaters.
